The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has advised state governments to train teachers and educators on the use of mobile technology in gathering data.
This call was buttressed during the third conference on education management information system in Makurdi, Benue State Capital.
Mayowa Okunato reports that Educational Management Information System is a database designed to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate education data and information for decision making.
This database will make it easier to develop an annual school census can be acquired.
Participants at this conference lay emphasis on how crucial the use of mobile technology is at this time in Nigerians education system.
This conference also brings together partners and key players in the education sector across the country. They are to deliberate on ways to improve the paradigm of technology driven data collection

The Deputy Governor of Benue State While launching the manual of training school teachers, he said the introduction would be a stepping stone for the country at large.
