Elizabeth the 2nd will today deliver her 65th Queen’s speech to Parliament, outlining the government’s plans and 22 bills.
The main piece of legislation will be the Withdrawal Agreement Bill, to be voted on, if Prime Minister Boris Johnson agrees a Brexit deal with the European Union this week.
UK and EU negotiating teams will meet again in Brussels today, as efforts continue, to reach a deal before a summit on Thursday and Friday.
The UK government says that, if it can strike an agreement at the summit, it will introduce a withdrawal bill to be voted on next Saturday in a special Parliamentary session.
It is seen as the last chance, before Brexit is due to happen on October 31.
