The house of representatives has opened an investigation into alleged non-remittance of contributions by the three tiers of government, public corporations and companies from 2010 till date.
Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, represented by House Leader, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, enjoined government bodies to support the cause to realise the vision behind the formation of the Nigeria Social Investment Trust Fund.
The investigative hearing is billed for five days and all key actors are expected to assist the ad hoc committee to unravel the quantum of money not remitted by those mandated by the law establishing the NSITF.
