This is not the best of times for Boniface Igbeneghu, a lecturer at the University of Lagos.
He is indicted in a sex demand scandal exposed by a documentary produced by the BBC.
Dr. Igbeneghu was caught on camera luring a seventeen year-old girl to an inappropriate situation.
This is not the first time sex-for-marks or favours are exposed in a Nigerian University.
Recall that in June last year, a Professor at the University of Ife, Richard Akindele was dismissed and years of academic excellence wasted because he was found guilty of demanding sexual reward for unmerited grades.
