A serious fire this afternoon engulfed the Upper Iweka area of the commercial city of Onitsha.
A yet to be confirmed report says a petrol tanker fell leading to an explosion and the outbreak.
Dozens of Residential building and commercial premises were destroyed in the inferno as panic took over the area.

Hundred of vehicles were also burnt as the fire spread with the petrol flowing down the road.
The level of loss cannot be put together yet but there are fears that casualty may be high.
