Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’tigress have been drawn in group A of the Olympic qualifying tournament.
The African champions will play against tough oppositions in Serbia, Mozambique and world number one – the United states.
The Olympic qualifying competition will hold in February next year across four countries – China, Serbia, France and Belgium.
D’tigress last qualified for the Olympics in 2004, but reached the quarter finals of the FIBA basketball World cup last year.
Nigerian basketball authorities say early preparation can help D’tigress qualify despite being placed in a difficult group.
