The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the establishment of a fifty- hectares plantation in each of the thirty one Local Government Areas and the cultivation of three hundred coconut stands in two hundred and thirty schools in the State.
It was one of the decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Udom Emmanuel on Friday.
The ongoing refinery project at Ikot Abasi and Mkpat Enin Local Government Areas are major industrial investments by the Akwa Ibom State Government.
The Udom Emmanuel administration has raised the bar to include the establishment of a fifty- hectre coconut plantation in the thirty one Local
Government Areas.
An estate of four blocks of four hundred and fifty units of plots is also a housing project approved by the State Executive Council.
