At least 50,000 hectares of vegetation have been destroyed by wildfire in Brazil.
The fire which began on October the 25th is said to be advancing rapidly due to the combination of high temperatures and high winds.
It is presently advancing across Brazil’s Pantanal wetlands and a government official said the fire was “bigger than anything seen before” in the region.
The wetlands in the southern part of the country, is one of the most bio diverse regions in the world and a popular tourist destination.
Firefighters are using planes to tackle the fire from above.
