The first 16 bodies of 39 Vietnamese people found dead in the back of a refrigerated truck after being smuggled to Britain have been repatriated to Vietnam.
Their bodies arrived at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport early on Wednesday and were being taken to their families,the country’s foreign ministry said.
They were among 39 migrants, eight women and 31 males found in the lorry in the town of Grays, Essex last month.
