Indian ride-sharing firm, Ola has started registering drivers in London ahead of plans to launch services in the country.
This comes as Uber was stripped of its license in London.
The company which is supported by Uber investor soft-bank said it would launch it services in December with a full roll out in mid January 2020.
Earlier this year, Ola received its permit to operate in London.
Some analyst say this is a sign of increased competition for Uber as London is Uber’s largest European market where it accounts for 45,000 drivers and 3.5 million passengers.
Ola operates in more than 250 cities across India, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
