A former chairman, Senate Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Dino Melaye, on Wednesday protested and submitted a petition at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja where he demanded cancellation of the Kogi West Senatorial election.
Mr Melaye’s petition is calling for the cancellation of the election in Kogi West senatorial district especially in areas where there are reported cases of electoral violence.
Dino Melaye of the People’s Democratic Party contested against Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress and INEC declared the election inconclusive.

Dino’s Petition was received by Festus Okoye the national commissioner on Voter Education and information.
