The Lagos police command has arrested two suspects for Child Trafficking. In a statement by the Command PPRO, Bala Elkana asked anyone with identification to come forward and identify the children.
“On 31st of October at about 2030hrs, detectives from Ojo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Abdullah Malah arrested one Chukwunonso Blessing 30yrs of No 23 Masebinu Street, Igbede, Ojo.
“She was seen along Alaba International Market with two children namely Joshua James ‘ 6years old and Samuel Gbawune ‘ 3years trying to board a vehicle to Onitsha, Anambra State.
“Upon questioning, she claimed that the boys were adopted by her husband one Chukwunoso Happiness ‘aged 40 from a Motherless Baby home in Jos, Plateau State and brought to Lagos.
“According to her, she was taking them to Onitsha to meet her husband.
At the arrest of her said husband, He confessed he got the kids at the sum of N140,000 from one Mama Oyoo ‘of Jos township”.
