The Northeast Development Commission has visited communities affected by floods in Adamawa state.
This is to assess the level of damage and also donate relief materials to victims.

The state government received the items and assured the commission they will be put to good use.
The NEDC also stopped by at the palace of local monarchs, informing them of its mission.
It assured of doing everything possible to cushion effects of the flood on those affected.
The monarchs spoke on areas where the people need urgent assistance apart from the flood induced ones.
The residents also narrate their ordeals.
More than 20,000 people were rendered homeless by the floods in nine local government areas.
The victims have continued to seek support from government and well meaning citizens.
