The Prime Minister of Netherlands, Mark Rutte has arrived the presidential villa in Abuja.
The visitor and his delegation were received by President Muhammadu Buhari, the chief of Staff, ministers of Foreign affairs, interior, information and other top executive member
Mark Rutte’s visit is expected to further strengthen bi-Lateral relationship between both countries.
According to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics released in the first quarter of 2018, Netherlands is currently Nigeria’s largest trading partner with a trade volume of over 1.2 trillion Naira.
This total is composed of imports from the Netherlands worth 726 million Euros and exports to the Netherlands of 2.29 billion Euros.
However, a majority of the value of the exports are petroleum based.
President Buhari had visited Netherlands in July last year and held talks with Prime Minister Mark Rutte that focused on the security and economic development of Nigeria.
