The People’s Democratic Party in Edo state said it is rebuilding after the exit of Osagie Ize Iyamu, its candidate in the last governorship election.
Chairman of the party in the state, Dan Orbih, disclosed this on Sunday while addressing members at the party’s secretariat in Benin City.
Orbih added that the party is considering a review of its constitution on waivers, which allows new members contest for key positions.
Despite the exit of a man of no less stature as Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the PDP still fancy its chances in next year’s election.
But first test of PDP’s seriousness in putting up a formidable contest during the election in September next year, is being able to first, hold a state congress and elect new executive without deep rancor.
