Adamawa state Police Command has denied reports that six persons were abducted and two of its personnel killed in an ambush on a patrol vehicle in Mubi local government area of the state.
Police spokesman Suleiman Nguroje told TVC NEWS in an interview that contrary to the rumour, the two policemen were killed while rescuing a kidnap victim.
He explained that two police officers were actually killed when the abductors fired on them, during a rescue operation.
