Fans of Swedish club Malmo have destroyed a statue of Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the striker acquired a stake in rival club Hammarby.
The 38-year-old Ibrahimovic acquired almost 25 percent of the shares in Hammarby, who finished third in the 2019 Swedish league championship.
His statement to make Hammarby the biggest club in Scandinavia angered many of his former fans at Malmo, where he played before a successful career in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, England, France and the United States.

The statue, which was unveiled in October was scorched with flares including racist messages sprayed on the ground.
