The police command in Delta state has set up a special operational squad named ‘safe Delta’ to fight against kidnapping, cultism, and other criminal activities throughout the three senatorial districts of the state.
State outgoing commissioner of Police, Adeyinka Adeleke, said ‘Safe Delta’ is part of efforts by the command at strengthening security and prevailing peace in the state.
Delta State government donated 21 operational vehicles to the command which are to be deployed to the three senatorial districts of the state, to aid their activities in crime fighting.
The police are also seeking the cooperation of members of the public in fishing out criminals in their domain and has released a hotline, 08036684974, to be called when in distress or for complaints.
