It was an event attended by two former heads of state, General Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar as well as Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
The 3000 seaters ecumenical centre was built in memory of the late Paramount ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Ofokutu, who ruled Ijesaland between 1842
and 1856.
