The body of Brigadier-General Mobolaji Johnson, the first military governor of Lagos state is now lying in repose at the Hoares Memorial Cathedral, Yaba, Lagos before he will be interred at a funeral ceremony at 11am.
Family and a distinguished line up of sympathizers led by former head of state General Yakubu Gowon paid glowing tributes to Brigadier-General Mobolaji Johnson while clerics admonished Nigerians to live a life free of corruption.
Brigadier Johnson was made governor in 1967 and for eight years he administered the state until he retired in 1975
