Akwa United have confirmed the appointment of former Plateau United Manager, Kennedy Boboye as the club’s new coach.
Boboye takes over the reins at Godswill Akpabio Stadium following the resignation of former Coach John Sam Obuh on Monday Dec 16
Obuh tendered his resignation after the club’s 3 nil loss to MFM, citing players indiscipline and insubordination for his decision to quit.
Boboye, who led Plateau United to the league title in 2017, also had coaching spells at Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors and Remo Stars.
Akwa United are currently 16th on the table, having recorded just one win from their opening eight league matches this season.
