The Ondo state Caucus at the House of representatives has frowned at the neglect of Qualified officers of Ondo extraction from promotion to Major General and equivalent by the Nigerian Armed forces.
The Army, Navy and Airforce had recently elevated officers to the rank of Major General and equivalent by the three arms of the armed forces.
According to a statement issued by the Caucus’s Spokesman, Israel Fagbemigun, members expressed shock that across the three services, no officer from Ondo State was promoted even when ten of them are sufficiently qualified for promotion to the 2 Star rank.
The caucus considers a form of marginalization while urging Service Chiefs to address it urgently.
