Test cricket finally returned to Pakistan on Wednesday as Fans turned out in large numbers to watch a Test match on the country’s soil for the first time in ten years.
The test game played at the Rawalpindi stadium was the first since a terror attack in 2009 which led to the suspension of all international cricket in the country.
Teams have refused to play in Pakistan owing to security concerns which has forced the team to play its home matches at neutral venues in the United Arab Emirates.
Sri Lanka, who were the visiting team when the attack took place a decade ago, were the visiting team on Wednesday, as Fans enjoyed test cricket for the first time at home in ten years.
The game won by the visiting team Sri Lanka is the first in a series of World Test Championship matches, with another scheduled for later this month.
