Ondo state Police command said it has launched manhunt for the policeman accused of killing a driver at Uso town in Owo Local Government Area of the State on Monday.
This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the state Police command, Femi Joseph.
The officer, identified as Sergeant Idowu Omosuyi, was gathered to have fled the scene immediately after he committed the crime.
Sergeant Omosuyi, attached to the Federal Highway Patrol, allegedly shot the truck driver, Ado Saleh at a checkpoint.
The unfortunate incident triggered a protest by other truck drivers and residents of the town who barricaded the expressway for several hours.
