More than 4,000 athletes from over 30 countries are expected in Nigeria for the first edition of the African International Ultra Marathon Championship taking place in Remo, Ogun state.
Tagged Remo Ultra Run athletes from East Africa and from outside the continent will jostle for the top prizes in the race
The 50 kilometre Marathon race is the brainchild of the former Commissioner for Sports in Ogun State, Bukola Olopade
The athletes will run the course of 50 kilometres across Remo land in a loop of 10 kilometres and end the race at the Gateway Stadium in Shagamu
