The House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation has raised the 2020 Appropriation Bill by 27 billion naira.
The Committee is proposing N10.6 trillion naira instead of the initial N10.33 trillion put forward by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Committee Chairman, Mukhtar Betera, laid the report at plenary, paving way for its consideration and passage.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on October 8, 2019, presented the appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly.
Both the executive and the legislature plan to pass the bill before Christmas break to return Nigeria to a January-December budget cycle.
