Five people have been sentenced to death by in Saudi Arabia for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Saudi Arabia’s public prosecutor said on Monday
Another three persons were also sentenced to a total of 24 years in jail.

Khashoggi was a US resident and a critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
He was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018 after trying to pick up a marriage document for him and his Turkish fiance.
After weeks of repeated denials that it had anything to do with his disappearance, the kingdom eventually acknowledged that its officials were behind the gruesome murder.
The whereabouts of the journalist’s dismembered body are still unknown.
