Veteran Yoruba Actor, Samuel Akinpelu aka ‘Alabi Yellow’ is Dead

Veteran actor and author, Samuel Akinpelu, popularly known as Alabi Yellow has passed on.

Akinpelu, known for his caustic tongue in movies, was believed to have died earlier today in his home in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The actor, it would be recalled had been afflicted with a stroke in March shortly after the demise of his wife.

Many had thought he was on the path to recovery after he got a lifeline of ten million from popular philanthropist Reverend Esther Ajayi.

Alabi Yellow appeared in several Yoruba movies and also wrote a book titled, ‘A ba Oko Ku’.

Many of his colleagues in the industry have continued to eulogise the late actor.
