The Nigerian Air Force through its Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has again destroyed a Boko Haram logistics facility at Gujeri in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno State.
This was achieved in night-time air strikes executed on the eve of the new year following a series of Surveillance, that’s according to a statement by the Spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola.
The surveillance missions had identified some makeshift structures under some trees in the settlement that were being used by the insurgents to store fuel and other items for the maintenance of their vehicles.
For this reason, the Air Task Force dispatched combat helicopters to attack the location recording devastating hits in the target area resulting in the destruction of the storage facilities as well as other structures in the camp.
