Supreme Court has affirmed Samuel Ortom as the duly elected governor of Benue State and dismissed the appeal filed by Emmanuel Jime of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Delivering the lead judgment, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta held that he agreed with the counsel to the respondents that the concurrent judgment of the two court should not be disturbed.
The appeal is unanimously dismissed by the panel
The Supreme Court also affirmed Ahmadu Fintiri as duly elected Governor of Adamawa State.
The panel held that the petitioner failed to back his claim of over voting with concrete evidence.
The court held that over voting was established in only the number of votes accredited in the voters register and authenticated in form EC8A.
The appeal was unanimously dismissed.
