The Nigeria Customs says 90 percent of fatal accidents on the nation’s highways are caused by the use of expired tyres.
Comptroller in charge of zone C Kayode Olusemire made the statement while conducting Newsmen round the three container load of expired used tyres seized along Benin_Ore road.
He warned Smugglers to desist from importing prohibited items which is dangerous to human life.

Other items seized include foreign rice and portfolio bags.
