The popular Eastern Shops in ‘the New Heaven area’ of Enugu state has been gutted by fire.
Though goods were destroyed but no life was lost.
It took a quick intervention by the state and federal fire fighters for the inferno to be contained.

The cause of the fire is still unknown but there is an appeal for residents and traders to be careful and always be on the lookout especially this dry season, to avoid fire incidents.
They are advised to switch off all electrical appliances before living their shops, homes or offices to reduce the likelihood of a fire disaster.
