German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has said Chinese technology giant Huawei should not be excluded from Germany’s 5G network construction.
Mr Seehofer said that he is against taking a product off the market just because there is a possibility that something might happen.
He said Germany should not ban Huawei from competing for contracts in building the country’s 5G networks as this could delay the rollout of Germany’s 5G network by five to ten years.
He however added that all companies are requested to meet strict standards.
