12 persons have been killed and one other injured by gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen at Kulben village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Terna Tyopev who confirmed the incident said the command received a distress call from residents and forces were immediately mobilised to the area to prevent further attacks.
Mr Typopev said though no arrest has been made, but the force is doing everything possible to ensure the criminals are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

He advised residents of the community to remain calm and provide useful information that would enable them track down the perpetrators.
