Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, led prayers for the repose of the Iranian military commander, Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a U.S. drone strike in Iraq last Friday on the orders of President Donald Trump
According to a video clip obtained by TVC News, Ayatollah Khamenei at one point was seen weeping.
The country has vowed ‘severe revenge’ and on Sunday pulled back from the 2015 nuclear accord, a development already creating tension across the globe.
Already, three U.S. citizens, a soldier and two contractors have been killed in Kenya by al-Shabab, a group affiliated with Al Qaeda, as fears of revenge from Iran increases.
That attack might lead to the U.S. fulfilling its pledge of targeting fifty two sites in Iran, representing the Americans held hostage after being seized at its embassy in Tehran forty one years ago.
