Five more deaths have been confirmed in Taraba and Kano states and cases of the infection are also increasing.
In Taraba state, Commissioner for Health, Innocent Vakkai, disclosed that four local government areas are affected and they are Bali, Ardokola, Gassol, Jalingo.
He said those who had contact with the victims have been moved to a Lassa Treatment Centre in Jalingo.
In Kaduna state, the family of the victim and and about ten other persons are being monitored closely.

They will only be allowed to reunite with other persons after about two weeks if they are certified free.
