Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has emerged as a loan target for Manchester United following Marcus Rashford’s injury.
Ighalo who was a former player for Watford, is currently with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua and has two years left on his contract.
Rashford’s injury has certainly left United lighter up front following Romelu Lukaku’s departure in the summer.
Manchester United were confident of signing Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg this month before he joined Borussia Dortmund going on to score a 20-minute hat-trick on his debut for the German side.
United have also considered various short-term solutions, including Edinson Cavani, Dries Mertens, Mario Mandzukic and Algerian striker Islam Slimani.
