Persons Living with disabilities are on a road walk in Abuja to mark one year of the enactment of the Discrimination Prohibition Act and urged the Nigerian government to create the Commission that will take care of the needs of PWDs as stipulated by the new law.
They called on the federal ministry of Information to commence sensitisation of Nigerians and government and private agencies on the provisions of the Act, and gave Federal government one week to commence the process of implementing the Persons with disability discrimination Prohibition Act
President Muhammadu Buhari signed the bill into law on the 17th of January 2019.
