The National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons said it plans to ensure adequate empowerment and resettlement for the internally displaced in 2020
This was disclosed as the Commission shared back to school materials for the internally displaced children in one of the camps in Abuja
Moyo thomas reports that the group most affected by the North -East insurgency are children. It has not only disrupted their education, but they have poor access to medical care and low quality living standards.
As another school session opens in 2020, the National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced is making provisions for a seamless return to school for these underprivileged children.
There is need for more effort in the area of ensuring quality education for the Internally displaced in particular and for every other child that find his or herself out of school in Nigeria, as free and quality education is the constitutional right of every Nigerian child.
