No fewer than seven persons have lost their lives in an accident involving a truck loaded with cement, a space bus and a Volkswagen Commercial bus at Ota Toll Gate area along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
The fatal crash led to a protest by an irate mob, who set ablaze the truck suspected to have caused the crash.
Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, fire fighters and the Police have been at the scene trying to manage the situation and control traffic which has been on standstill for about two hours.
The traditional ruler of Ota land, Oba Kabir Obalange and his chiefs have also visited the scene to appeal to residents and passerby to maintain calm.
The Road Safety Sector Commander in Ogun State, Clement Oladele warns motorists to be cautious of the crash area, a black spot that has claimed more than 40 lives in the last five years.
