The theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi, has insisted that no Nigerian location is being dominated by Boko Haram, except for the “Tumbus” on the fringes of the lake Chad where the terrorists “sneak in” and fall back to Chad.
Adeniyi however, noted the location is the target of heavy bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force.
The theatre Commander stressed that he won’t allow the insurgents gain geographical or political dominance in Nigeria
Although Adeniyi said the country had underestimated the plan of Boko Haram which was to take and hold gwoza and it’s environs then demand to be recognized as an independent state, he conceded that the army is limited by resources and strength.
