American actor and filmmaker Thomas Jeffrey Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive to the Coronavirus disease.
The actor confirmed on Instagram and Twitter Wednesday that he and wife, Rita Wilson, both 63, tested positive for Coronavirus in Australia after feeling ill.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches, Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.” Hanks wrote.
Hanks and Wilson, have been in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley film from Warner Bros,in which he’ll play Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Hanks said he will be “tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”
The novel Coronavirus has now infected more than 115,800 people and killed over 4,200 worldwide
