The Lagos state government has expressed readiness to contribute to the reduction of the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria.
At a public-private partnership dialogue, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu restated his commitment towards improving education and technology in the state.
He stated that education is one of the 6 pillars of development set-up for a greater Lagos agenda.
Participants at the meeting believe that education is a critical success factor for socioeconomic development of an emerging economy, thus they are ready for the partnership to ensure advancement of education reform,
especially in the aspect of transforming human capacity to knowledge.
The Governor highlighted that developing new education infrastructure, empowering teachers in every local government area, building technology to cultivate learning environment to prepare students for a new world that demands creativity, are priorities for the State.
