Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare has expressed sadness oer the tragic death of a Nassarawa United player in an NPFL game played at the Lafia Township Stadium on Sunday.
Defender Chineme Martins passed away after collapsing on the field following a collision with an opposing player.
Medics failed to revive the player and was pronounced dead after a delayed arrival at the hospital due to the non functionality of Ambulance Services at the Stadium.

While sympathising with the families of the deceased player, the Minister said the ministry will work with the NPFL towards ensuring that all mandatory conditions must be met before league matches are played in the country.
