Pep Guardiola has confirmed that a guard of honour will be given to newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool when the two sides meet at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.
Liverpool took the Premier League crown City had occupied for the past last two years when they ended their own 30-year quest for a league title last week.
Guardiola has dismissed suggestions that his team lost passion for wining the title for a third season in a row.
The City manager also said he is very satisfied with how the season has panned out so far .

City trail Liverpool by 23 points with seven games of the league campaign remaining .
