President Muhammadu Buhari and other worshippers today attended Juma’at prayers at the State House Mosque, Abuja,
for the first time since authorities ordered a lockdown to slow down the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Friday prayers at the state house was conducted in strict adherence with the new guidelines of the presidential taskforce on COVID-19 for the re-opening of places of worship in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT.
The total time of Friday’s jumat prayers was not more than one hour, and the mosque opened 15 minutes before prayer time to allow for proper coordination and social distancing.
