Cases of covid-19 infections in the US have surpassed the 2 million mark, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The US has the highest number of cases in the world, followed by Brazil and Russia.
Despite the daily increase in number of infections amidst black lives matter protests rocking the country, states are aggressively lifting restrictions and reopening their economies.
Some of the most affected cities include New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, Texas and Massachusetts.
Globally, there are now more than 7.3 million infections and over 416,000 deaths.
