Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki has assured teachers in the state that his administration will continue to train and retrain educators in public schools in order to strengthen the standard of education in the state.
Speaking at an event to commemorate the world teachers’ day in Benin city, the governor assured that education will continue to play pivotal role in the present administration.
He maintained that the huge investment in Edobest educational programme is as a result of the importance placed on education by the present administration which has put the state in front as a reference point in country.
Governor Obaseki appreciated some teachers for their outstanding commitment especially during the peak of the covid 19 pandemic.
