According to Noble FM’s correspondent, Micheal Oladejo, the Northern governors which include the Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle; Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello; Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in company of the Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde arrived at the Sasa market at about 9:00AM and assessed the havoc wrecked on the market for minutes.
Shortly after the assessment, the governors proceeded to the palace of the Seriki Sasa, Sarkin Saba, Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin, where they sued for peace between the two ethnic groups.
While addressing the Hausa and the Fulani communities on needs to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign, the Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, explained that the four northern governors were sent to Ibadan to resolve the crisis by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
He appealed to the aggrieved ethnic groups to maintain the peace and unity that have been in existence between the Hausas and the Yorubas from the time immemorial.
