The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has commenced computer based test for close to 30,000 applicants who purchased Osun State teachers recruitment forms.
The test taking place in twenty-five JAMB accredited centres was monitored by the officials of the State ministry of education.
Addressing journalists, the State Commissioner for Education Folorunsho Bamisayemi and the special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Jamiu Olawumi expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the test.
They said the decision of the State Government to outsource the test to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board is to ensure transparency.
According to them, only competent candidates who can deliver 21st century teaching would be employed by the state Government.
The computer based test will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
After the CBT results are released, an inter-ministerial committee comprising of experts will be set-up to conduct interview for successful candidates before they are shortlisted and offered employment.
